Tossing Black Hole Spin Axes

چکیده

The detection of double black hole (BH+BH) mergers provides a unique possibility to understand their physical properties and origin. To date, the LIGO-Virgo-KAGRA network high-frequency gravitational wave observatories have announced more than 85 BH+BH merger events (Abbott et al. 2022a). An important diagnostic feature that can be extracted from data is distribution effective inspiral spins BHs. This in clear tension with theoretical expectations both an isolated binary star origin, which traditionally predicts close-to aligned BH component (Kalogera 2000; Farr 2017), formation via dynamical interactions dense stellar environments symmetric (Mandel & O'Shaughnessy 2010; Rodriguez 2016b). Here it demonstrated evolution convincingly explain observed if BHs spin axis tossed during process core collapse massive star, similarly evidently acting newborn neutron stars. without spin-axis tossing, however, has difficulties reproducing - even alignment prior second disregarded. Based on simulations only minimum assumptions, constrains empirical made magnitudes first- second-born BHs, thereby serving better

Black Hole Spin Evolution

We consider a subset of the physical processes that determine the spin j ≡ a/M of astrophysical black holes. These include: (1) Initial conditions. Recent models suggest that the collapse of supermassive stars are likely to produce black holes with j ∼ 0.7. (2) Major mergers. The outcome of a nearly equal mass black hole-black hole merger is not yet known, but we review the current best guesses...

Black hole spin in GRS 1915 + 105

Microquasars are galactic black hole binary systems with radio jets which can sometimes be spatially resolved to show superluminal motion. The first and best known of this class of objects is GRS 1915+105, the brightest accreting source in our Galaxy. There is persistent speculation that strong jet emission could be linked to black hole spin. If so, the high spin should also be evident in accre...

Black-hole Spin and Galactic Morphology

We investigate the conjecture by Sikora, Stawarz & Lasota (2007) that the observed AGN–radioloudness bimodality can be explained by the morphology related bimodality of black-hole spin distribution in the centers of galaxies: central black holes in giant elliptical galaxies may have (on average) much larger spins than black holes in spiral/disc galaxies. We study how accretion from a warped dis...

High-spin binary black hole mergers

We study identical mass black hole binaries with spins perpendicular to the binary’s orbital plane. These binaries have individual spins ranging from s=m2 0:90 to 0.90, (s1 s2 in all cases) which is near the limit possible with standard Bowen-York puncture initial data. The extreme cases correspond to the largest initial spin simulations to date. Our results expand the parameter space covered b...

Organizational Black Hole Theory

There are issues in organizations that require new theoretical formulation. Hence, metaphorical theorizing is used in the study of organizations to interpret them and understand their complexities. In this method, the organization is likened to an entity and one of the key features of that entity is generalized to the organization. It should be borne in mind that most organizational theories ar...
